Training Mule

Training mule Miss May was such a pleasure, she is a kind mule with personality plus. This is the kind of mule that is easy to ruin, as they will forgive your mistakes to a point, but them look out you have your hands full. We took great pains not to leave any of the training steps out with Miss May, again easy to leave out some of the building block as the mule is so forgiving. Now a flighty or baulky mule will remind you rightaway you need to do the right steps, in sequence.

We used a bit of clicker training to accomplish these next steps.

Start with one naked mule

Introduce the tarp as a small novelty

Reassure mule that yes they can do it

Mule learns to move with scarey attachments

Teach mule they can move with big scarey too!

Yes this is the end of the training session
