Blue Roan Horse for Sale
Blues Blue Boy

Two year old Stallion
Sold to Tammy and Tony

I believe Blue Boy would make a nice herd stallion, then grow your own blue roan horse
Blue has a very nice neck and throat latch, very straight and is very elegant in his movement I enjoy watching him get better day by day

He is very much like his sire Blue Canal Fisher very bold and curious, real character.

We are finally getting some sun in the Northwest and the horses are starting to shed, I'll post new pictures as Blue Boy sheds he is looking so good, you'll like him. Someone will be getting a great herd stallion as this type of blue roan horse is very rare and hard to come by.

Priced at $4750

This is Blue Canal Fisher the herd Sire as you can see a blue roan horse for sure, when I first saw him, he was a sorry sight. I was staying a couple week with my friend John Balkenbush, in Conrad Montana. John had a small herd at the home place and I'd go out and see them. This crippled up bay colt would leave the herd to come see me. It turned out that this colt had a case of foal founder and John thought he might have to put him down. I went out and trimmed his feet a special way before I left and it must of helped, because he got better. Every couple of years, John has a auction in the fall and sells most of his weanlings and leftover yearlings. I went back there to attend, thinking I'd be able to buy that bay colt with sore feet at a good price. Well guess what! That bay colt was sound as a dollar and was no longer bay, but a blue roan horse, oh oh. There went my good deal. Sale day came and I sat on my hands as the bid on blue climbed over $3000 then slowed down, I could not stand it, I bid $3900, someone bid $4000. I was crushed, it had not been a very good year for me money wise, I was a farrier headed into winter and I knew this was out of my league. I stared at the ground sitting on my hands again, going once, twice I raised my hand and Blue Canal Fisher was mine, I'd think of a good story for the wife on the long drive back to Washington State
